About Frisina Lawyers

Frisina Lawyers is a boutique, family-run personal injury firm that has acted for injured people since 1980. We do one kind of law — compensation claims for people hurt at work, on the road or in a public place, and for people who can no longer work — from two offices in South Western Sydney: Liverpool and Gregory Hills.

Why do we only do personal injury law?

Because compensation claims run on their own rules, deadlines and medical assessment processes, and those rules change often. By focusing exclusively on personal injury law, we work inside this system every day, so our advice stays current and practical. We act in workers compensation, motor accident claims, public liability and TPD claims — and nothing else.

Each area has its own machinery. Motor accident claims are often called CTP claims, after the compulsory third party insurance that covers people injured on NSW roads. TPD stands for total and permanent disability — a lump sum claim usually made through your superannuation when you can't return to work. Much of any claim turns on medical assessments, so we take the time to scrutinise each assessment of your claim and, where a decision is incorrect, to challenge it. When the Workers Compensation Independent Review Office was established in 2012, Anthony was one of the first lawyers in New South Wales to receive its approval as an authorised legal service provider — a lawyer approved by that office to provide legal services to injured workers.

How do we work with clients?

Plainly and personally. When you call, you speak with the people actually running your claim. We explain your options in language you can understand, keep you informed at every step, and treat you with dignity and respect. We return phone calls and reply to emails.

We also try to take financial pressure off you while your claim runs. In most cases we pay the fees for the medical and other reports your claim needs upfront, and you don't repay them until your claim is finished and, if it succeeds, the insurer pays your compensation. If you're in hardship because you can't work, we can advise you on whether an advance on your payout may be available from the insurer. We'll explain how our fees work at your first consultation.

What happens at your first consultation?

Your first consultation is obligation-free. You sit down with us, explain your situation, and find out where you stand. There's no pressure to sign anything on the day.

It helps to bring whatever you already have — a claim number, letters or emails from the insurer, medical certificates or reports, and payslips if your income has been affected — but don't put off calling because your paperwork isn't in order. Time limits apply to compensation claims in NSW, so getting advice early protects your position. Call (02) 9602 4999 or book through our contact page.

Where are our offices?

We have two offices, both in South Western Sydney. Our Liverpool office is at Level 1, 84 Bathurst Street, Liverpool NSW 2170, in the heart of the Liverpool CBD. Our Gregory Hills office is at 101-103, 39-47 Lasso Road, Gregory Hills NSW 2557, serving Gregory Hills, Campbelltown, Camden and the wider Macarthur region. Both offices are reached on (02) 9602 4999.
